Step 3 – Complaining to The Property Ombudsman

Please create a new post in the ‘Property Ombudsman’ Forum so other users can see the progress you are making and also be able to provide assistance to you.

The Property Ombudsman Service (TPOS) can look at complaints that have arisen since September 2011 – usually, your contract needs to have been signed after this date.

However, if you have made a formal complaint to RTA which you do not feel has been dealt with properly, TPOS can deal with complaints about RTA’s handling of your formal complaint.

In the first instance, you should send an email to admin@tpos.co.uk with a subject line which identifies the parties – ie “RTA vs Bloggs”, “Complaint about RTA Business Consultants in Stockport”, etc.

Make sure your original formal letter of complaint to RTA is attached to your email, as well as their response and any subsequent letters.

If you raise a complaint with TPOS, please don’t forget to create a new post in the ‘TPOS’ Forum so everyone can see what happened in your case.
